Cash transfer

I want to buy a present for my wife, but not have the sellers details appear on our bank account.
I can't transfer the cash direct to the company, as the bank won't allow it. I only have the one joint account.
How else can I transfer £ 100 to pay for the goods?
Thanks

Will payment via an intermediary such as PayPal anonymise the transaction sufficiently for you?1

How do I get the money into Paypal, then?
Or is there another way?

Ask a friend to pay and give them cash.
Without another account you really don't have many options.1 -
You could buy one of the ‘visa’ online debit cards from Tesco where you top it
up, pay in Tesco and it credits the one off card with money. Then purchase online.1 -
If you don't have another account can you use cash to buy a gift card for the retailer selling the gift that works online? If not, you'll need to use a one-off prepay card like DebtHurriace says, but there are usually additional costs there. You can get one at the post office (called the prepaid travel money card) but there is a 3% fee (so a card with £100 on costs £103). You'll need ID.

Thanks for the advice. I knew I'd get it from the font of eternal wisdom that is MSE.0

They told me that paying cash to another bank account, other than my own, was not permitted anymore.Zanderman said:

Money laundering, I suppose.0 -
If you're trying to do this in branch, with actual cash, that's the case.square_bear said:

But online, via bank transfer, it isn't.2 -
Where is the seller located? If they can accept a postal order, you can buy one of these with cash.
Note if not paying by card, preferably credit card, you have no comeback if the goods won't arrive or are damaged.1
