    If its needed thenso be it, anyone wanting to travel there they need to follow the rules.

    It's not really needed though, is it?  The highest rate is on Tenerife, which is still only 96 per 100000.  Add in the other islands where the rate is much lower and you're probably at less than half the current UK rate of 159 per 100000

    Not particularly relevant as testing regimes are totally different.  What's the positivity % from tests undertaken? What's the trend?

    According to the stats published at https://www.gobiernodecanarias.org/principal/coronavirus/acceso_datos.html, the positive rate has been about 9% across the territory but 10-17% on Tenerife over the past week or so, both of which are roughly double where they were the previous week.

    Fair point. Unfortunately some will however think and believe that using their right to access and use a cheap RyanAir flight to Tenerife is all that matters.

    I think the point is to try and prevent that rate going up with the inevitable mass influx of people who "really must get their xmas sun" 

    I don't agree with everything Hancock says/does -- but I do with his "just because you can do something, it doesn't mean you have to" comment yesterday
