If you've got the 0% Sainsbury card but need to transfer an HSBC debt you could always apply for another card with no transfer fee to do the transfer via.

Not sure if it helps but I’ve had a quick read through the balance transfer card t&c’s on the website and it doesn’t seem to state any indication about any bank refusals.
I’d put forward a formal complaint, but not sure if that will be valid, I’m sure there must be a get out of jail clause so to speak in there but I couldnt see it0 -
Hi all, Sorry to bump this thread again but ive just received my Virgin CC to attempt to do a balance transfer and they also do not accept my HSBC card beginning with 5381.
Again, i was not informed during the process of application and i now have 2 useless credit cards.
Anybody else experienced this before? its all becoming a nuisance.
Many thanks0 -
This is odd, i did a Virgin BT from Santander which went through straight away. It looks like the problem lies with HSBC. Also done one with Marbles and Virgin - no issues there.
Very surprised HSBC are getting rejected by various companies, they are one of the biggest financial institutions.0 -
You can do a money transfer from Virgin into your bank and pay HSBC card with that. Think the 0% on MT is only 12 months though.joejoel said:Hi all, Sorry to bump this thread again but ive just received my Virgin CC to attempt to do a balance transfer and they also do not accept my HSBC card beginning with 5381.
