Wow.. I’ve never seen so many things on Olio. Tempted by a whole large turkey for the freezer!! Shame the little ‘uns mean I can’t go out and pick up this stuff… could eat for free for weeks on all of this!2025 decluttering: 3,848🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Sadly Olio is no use for me currently in my area. Took a week for someone to reply to me to tell me some beauty products were no longer available. Food only seems to appear once in a blue moon, so deleted the app, but so pleased it is working for a lot of you.

Not much frugal stuff been happening today, although I did have my dinner at dds and still not hungry!
I made a curry yesterday and to be honest I'm not that keen, so tomorrow I will be trying to come up with a way to change it up a bit, make it more bland (that won't be difficult!) And perhaps stick a pastry lid on top. Anyway it'll get eaten somehow.

What's wrong with the curry? Is it too spicy - add some yoghurt or cream; not spicy enough add some chilli or cayenne pepper to spice it up a bit. Adding a pastry lid is a good idea to make it a different meal.

I have finally joined Olio. There seems to be a few people using it semi-locally so I'll see how it goes and try and reserve something over the next few days to get a feel for it. A start on my return to being more frugal, more aware of where the money is going and generally being more organised.
I hope everyone has had a good christmas day.9 -
A, belated, Happy Christmas to all my frugal friends. First time I've had enough internet to post in a couple of days. Yesterday i could not even run a speed test to see has bad it was, not enough to load the page! The joys of living in the middle of nowhere.
Hope you all had a great time. Off to join the 2022 thread now, if the bandwidth holds.
Love and hugs to you all, and thank you for keeping me sane and frugal for the past year, mumtoomany.xxxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.15 -
Hello, hope everyone had a lovely Christmas Day. I was very pleased to get new slippers and pj’s as well as a book and puzzle I’d hoped for so my winter evenings are all set!We were also given so much treat food I probably need to go on a diet just looking at it! People are very generous. Now it’s thinking about the 2 birthdays straight after the new year. Really hopeful of something in the sales.Life happens, live it well.11

5 jars of lime pickle curing on our windowsill, jarred on Christmas Eve. Now starting the marmalade batches which is probably going to take quite a while via the whole fruit method since my jam pan will do c. 1 bag of limes at a time and I think there are about 8 bags remaining!
I hope everyone had a peaceful Christmas.11
