Am thinking of buying a Remoska.  Anyone have one ?  If so, how do you feel about it ?

I had to Google it. It looks like a very heavy and expensive version of a slow cooker.  My Crockpot was about £100 cheaper. What appeals to you about the Remoska? Don't mean to sound dismissive- there must be lots of good things about it.🙂

I have a slow cooker which i love.  Up until now I thought a Remoska was like a mini oven.  Have to do some more research..........

P.S.  I would only buy second hand......can't help it, it has become part of me.....

I had a remoska a few years ago but found the lid extremely heavy which put me off using it. What I cooked in it was ok but in the end I sold it. I did have a friend who loved hers but she had used one (or something similar) for years in Poland.

I bought mine for £10 in a charity shop and my cheffie partner turned up his nose. But not for long! He uses it very regularly in his motor home and also at home when he doesn’t want to stand over a pan. Some people in small flats etc use them for pretty much everything but personally I think it’s a wildly economical and flexible addition to a kitchen or caravan etc.

I have two Remoskas. Medium and large. They are indeed mini ovens. We’ve one in the kitchen and the other in the motorhome. I’d definitely replace mine should anything happen to them.

just need to find a second hand one that I can afford............am sure it will turn up as I firmly believe that luck is when preperation (I've done that  ) meets with opportunity.......

@tooldle So how they are different from ordinary Crockpots - apart from being heavier and more expensive?
