I wondered if anyone here knows...I have seen some spring and summer bulbs at a hugely reduced price in local H0m3base. They are lilies, agapanthus, corpus? If I bought them will they keep for planting next year or would they need planting immediately? Any advice before I buy will be appreciated 🙂9

Hello Tightpants (love your name). Still haven't got over my irrational fear of uploading photos/selling on line. Cannot do anything at the moment as am going away for a little while but this week will be sorting my good stuff that no longer fits (or perhaps never did
) for future selling.
I don't know if any of you will view this as frugalism but here goes.......
I phoned sky to remove something from our package, cost £14.00. At the same time asked about multi-screen as the person I live with sits in another room watching TV and really we rarely watch the same programme. Tastes vastly different. To have the Sky Q multi-screen (2 boxes) would cost with installation £329.99 (from memory). The cost of multi screen viewing £14.00 per month
As we have been long, loyal customers (well over 20 years) all the boxes and installation will be free. As we never go out or on holiday (sad I know) I am thrilled.......
So even though our bill will be the same our service/packages will be very different. A win in my eyes.....

Hi Tightpants, Regarding the bulbs I would suggest you plant them this year as bulbs tend to dry out if kept for a long time. Think of onions - they are bulbs.
First trip to the supermarket since Feb 2020. I chose a quiet time but even so it felt very weird. I only bought what was needed and I should have enough for at least 10 days. The cost came in at under £40 which is brilliant as my usual on-line shopping can be upwards of £60 - I'm smiling14 -

Paid £3 and got
3 x Beanz & Cheese Classic toasties (Heinz baked beans and mature cheddar)
1 x Chocolate muffin
And that was it. Don't think I need to make any further comment.Lightbulb moment and house renovation debt 01.01.19 18500, 01.01.20 £11450, 01.01.21 £4980, 19.07.21 nil.

@jak Congratulations and good luck with all the clutter clearing 🙂
@Tightpants24 I'd buy them and keep in a cold dark place until next year, I've still got some bulbs from about 4 years ago!
Well done on the fb plants and free pots. I have been the same for the last couple of years, just cheap or free! Will be trying car boots soon too.
@balabooberlies You have to have something good, more service for the same price is a win in my book 🤗
@zafiro1984 Congrats on the shopping, thats 33% less, a massive amount 🤗

@StrawberrySuze I think most of those particular Costa toasties end up in Magic bags, I'm not a fussy eater and have a healthy appetite but I really struggled to eat them all and couldn't taste the cheese. The muffin was really good though so it compensated a bit.
Had to laugh yesterday, had coffee with a friend and we went to Costa, asked me if I wanted any food.... :I really like their coffee though.

Had a look at my April budget, not as good as hoped for as was over budget by £36 but was under on groceries and still under budget for the year so far. It's always those unexpected necessary things that crop up.
Got my car service and MOT at the beginning of June, it's not a major service but I'll be expecting additional expense as it's not sounding too healthy at the moment so need to keep spends low for May just in case.7 -
The TGTG bags look great, but I take it they wouldn't be suitable for vegetarians?

Maybe if you popped to a place doing bags near you it might be the same.Life happens, live it well.8
