Eventually worked out when most of TGTG bags are posted on the app here, it's between 4-6,30pm so managed to reserve one for this afternoon (Cost*) some branches do same day, this one lets you reserve the day before so that's going to be interesting, Local Morris*ns don't seem to be on there at the moment.
@AskYouWillGet Yes pick ups are definitely later, bit of a problem for me so I'm going to try to stick to weekends or when off work.
Need to catch up with my April spreadsheet over the weekend, just looked at food spends yesterday.
Hope everyone manages to enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend, looks like a wet one here according to the forecast, but sometimes it says rain and it doesn't happen so fingers crossed......

Hmmm, just got back from Costa Coffee and opened the Magic bag.
Paid £3 and got
3 x Beanz & Cheese Classic toasties (Heinz baked beans and mature cheddar)
1 x Chocolate muffin
And that was it. Don't think I need to make any further comment.

I’m so glad I found this thread. We are swapping to super charged frugal mode... I’ve just had an offer accepted for a lovely garden flat!!! It’s all systems go/sew shut the purse time.My aim: sell stuff/clear crap
no more online food shops until after we move. I’ve got a freezer and cupboards to clear and a ton of food.I also need to save up for paint/curtains etc. for when we move in.If I write it down it will happen so wish me luck folks! No more spending until it’s necessary for our new place. So far I’ve managed to sort out my coats and I’ve got one bag for the charity shop.Off to make a comprehensive list of all food in the house so I can plan our menu...
Im also planning to look for second hand as much as possible. I prefer it and it’s better for the environment xxx2022 Comp total (prizes + free spins): £494.81 #20 £12 a day Jan: £382.95/£372 #57 360 1p challenge: £17.70 £10 a day Feb: £571.09/£280 March: £311.96/£31018 -

@jak Congratulations on the successful offer, really pleased for you.
@willow_loulou Fortunately I like baked beans but a bit more variety would have been appreciated!. Think Greggs or Caffe Nero might be a better option next time. Feeling hungry just reading your list of goodies, you are so lucky.10 -
Congratulations Jak and good luck with the frugalism

A slightly more expensive April for me but I've booked and paid for some public transport later in the year and I've sorted out 3 birthdays in may - presents bought and wrapped and cards written. I'm re-using gift bags. The 3 May birthdays are very close relatives so I like to get nice gifts but I've shopped around, used vouchers and gone through £co so I think I've got the best value for money I can.I've noticed huge queues of people at the coffee stalls at local beauty spots. I take my own flasks and snacks which save money, time queuing, too much contact with strangers plus I get my tea exactly how I like it. I'm definitely not changing that habit.17

Congrats Jak!@MazzieD it’s definitely a good find, I agree with you cafe Nero or greggs is better than costa. I was a bit disappointed it was just 3 sandwich/pannini, was hoping for a treat in it as well.Made a gift today, using a recycled frame and other bits I had so that was a cost of 50p. It was well received so that’s a saving of £9:50 from the planned spend. I’d not intended to make it but I was suddenly inspired so went for it.Life happens, live it well.13

I have bought 30 little garden plants via fb market which cost around £15. I got free pots on freecycle and have repotted them. They are growing lovely. Last year I was spending between £5 and £12 per plant at the garden centre. I have never bothered to make the effort before but I am thoroughly enjoying it and saved loads of ££ too 😀
Also am still selling on V1nt3d. It is slow but regular.
