ScottishPower - 'you need to book smart meter install to stay on chosen tariff'

If the OP is worried about the install , just give them very limited windows of availability in the week. My sister did that and the tariff expired before they could offer an ap. to fit with her timetable0

Yes, SMETS1, the same as mine. Mine was fitted in May 2017 and ceased to send info when I left SSE in about October 2017.
Its easy to read, no button pushing and TBH I don't want another type, especially one of the rubbish Secure meters with keypads.
The IHD still gives me all the info I need - remote meter reading and instantaneous consumption as well as access to the meter's hourly, daily, weekly and monthly memory.. I don't need more than that - the cost info was always wrong, right from day one and it ceased when I left SSE.
Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
I find the signal range from the meter to the IHD is very short, but works. I use it for the meter readings, and have it set to display the gas used so far today, which updates half-hourly. I have not consigned it to the back of a drawer as others on this forum sometimes suggest! I monitor the electricity with a separate OWL CM119 device which I brought with me from my previous house.0
