Terms I have used are that used on quotes by roofing companies for same work

10 year Insurance backed guarantee received wrong postcode,Insured works stated to be "Tiling" (Job No)  No Job number actually stated

After a month and several chaseups including complaint to Competent Roofer, reissued paperwork with correct postcode still states insured works "Tiling" (Job No) which i see as attempts to dumb down guarantee ( We all know guarantees often not worth paper written on)

The way I see it is when some damaged/broken tiles get replaced that would constitute "Tiling"

Should I pursue to get Insured works stated on policy schedule as New tiled roof/main house roof replacement or should I leave it as it is, I am thinking if house got sold after say 5 years what would vendors solicitor make of such a minimal Insured works description

TIA

I would check with the insurer to see if 'tiling' is an appropriate description for them if the reality is that tiles, battens and felt were replaced.

Did the work undertaken require planning permission?

Did the work undertaken require planning permission?

Was done through Competent Roofer Scheme who automatically notify Building Control and issue Buildings Regulation Compliance Certificate,  Tiles, Battens and Felt were replaced with Code 4 lead to chimney
Roofing company only issued written guarantee after I asked for it this is what I got for benefit of thread discussion, I am thinking about if house got sold say after 5 years what vendors solicitor take on it would be, unlikely guarantee would ever be called upon

Did you have a detailed quote before the work was done?  If so, keep that with the insurance policy as proof of work should it be required.

Yes did get detailed quote before work was done, I have acted on your initial reply and emailed this to Certass who are appointed rep of GPI Ltd, and copied roofing company and competent roofer into communication,  thanks for your input :)

Today I finally received documentation with correct postcode, Insured Works still stated as "Tiling(Job No) with no job number stated

I require the Insurer to either re-issue the documentation with apparent more relevant Insured works namely new tiled roof or Main House Roof Replacement or confirm to me in writing that 'tiling' is an appropriate description when  reality is that tiles, battens and felt were replaced with Code 4 lead to chimney

I look forward to a response to this please
