Has John Lewis Broadband gone out of business? Finding it impossible to get through to support

From what I've read here, it would be no great loss if they have gone out of business!David.0

Was in effect returning to Plusnet (who I had generally found OK) after a year with NOW broadband, who failed to provide a satisfactory follow-on contract offer. However, somewhere along the line between NOW, OpenReach and JL/Plusnet my address seems to have been corrupted so that I am stuck in limbo. A conflict was advised when I tried to place order online but called JL sales line and was told by someone called Simon England that they would sort it all out. Was supposed to be switching on December 11. Keep having to call Customer Services and being informed (after being on the phone for 30 + min.) that my order "is being escalated" and that I "will be updated soon" but nothing seems to happen. Just hoping that we're not without service over Christmas. No sign of a router yet so not hopeful.0

ha, ha. I left Plusnet for John Lewis because of their appaling customer service. Then first time I called JL support I got the same music at the call centre that used to drive me nuts with Plusnet. I don't think there is such a thing as good customer service. But JL will pay out more compensation than PN because of their name. Always threaten to go to the regulator if you can't get a result and they willl pay you off 9 times out of 10 as they would be hit with a charge if you did go to the regulator.

Have to disagree there. Hyperoptic have been outstanding for the 3 months odd I have used them. Easy to contact on chat on their website and fix issues quickly. But hyperoptic are a very niche thing and not available to most but if you can get them..highly recommended; but the point is just to say that great customer services for BB providers does existyebaws said:ha, ha.
