Exploded my Clearview Pioneer 400 - Help please

Options
Who knew that pistachio shells could explode a stove? Well, as of a few days ago, that's me.
The kaboom cracked the glass and the fire ran away with itself. I let it die down and replaced the glass no problems, but the secondary air control slide still doesn't seem to work.
Does anyone have any guidance on how I access the air slide to check and if necessary replace? It all seems hidden under the stove and inaccesible.
Tl;dr - don't throw pistachio shells in the stove.

Very occasionally, I have put a log on and then had a loud bang soon after. I put it down to a build up of fumes (wood gas) igniting.... Always try to put a long on whilst there is still flames present from existing embers now or crack the door open until flames take hold.

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.

Yep, they were smoking furiously when I closed the door. A few seconds later the whole lot detonated. Blew the door open, ash all over the floor, glass retaining clips bent out of shape... luckily the air slide was fully open so at least it could vent the blast a bit!
    But yeah... BrownTrousers.gif

I have had the same thing happen although not with such devastating effects !!
The slide is just that a sliding plate at the end of a rod
I wonder if the rod has got bent ??
It could also be that the base of the stove has been bent out of shape by the blast !!
    Hope it's not that.
