    Yes, I can read, but your original ‘just in case’ complaints would have still made allegations of wrongdoing and would have sought to be redressed. The fact they’ve been re-opened is neither here nor there, You remembered enough to complain about the loan and credit cards a few years ago but seemingly don’t remember much when it comes to the lender asking for your recollection now.

    as you don’t want to be redressed now though, I’m sure NatWest would be more than happy to close the complaint down and retain any refunds they may or may not be about to offer you.

    UPDATE: I got a payout based on interest and commission.
    That means your complaint remains rejected and they haven't changed the outcome.    They have just run a Plevin check on it and you have received a part refund plus interest.

  • So was definitely worth responding, enjoy the "winnings" as it were. Remember they may take ages to pay out if by cheque so try and push for BACS if possible

    Indeed it was.   
    Personally, I don't know why the FCA didn't force firms to automatically re-check all rejected cases for plevin checks

    Amazingly, I sent the paperwork back on Thursday and it was in my bank on Saturday!!!
