How do I set it up so I can travel to Turkey and when I get there withdraw £3000 in cash?

Thanks, Rob, that's a really good idea. I can't get any kind of bill, I don't think, but I could ensure I have the details of the business in question so they could check it was legitimate.

What about using a bank transfer?  If the recipient's bank can accept sterling the transfer fee is not going to be much (around £20) maybe and you don't have to worry about walking around with wads of notes.

You haven't confirmed what the money's for. That's your choice but surely if you're prepared to part with that sort of money then they should be reputable enough to give you some sort of invoice or estimate.

I've frequently travelled to Turkey with large amounts of sterling. We rent an apartment each year and pay for that in cash and also change spending money daily. It's a throwback to when inflation first started going mad and the habit stuck.

You could use the likes of TransferWise & pay them using the app when you are stood on the premises.
The transfers only take a few seconds.
Sounds like the 'business' wants cash to avoid Turkish taxes etc.
All sounds a bit iffy to me.

It's for a hair transplant but I'm assured it isn't a dodgy place from my research and assurance from trusted hair forum members that this is the way it is with a lot of the clinics over there. But yeah, undoubtedly I'd prefer it not be cash only.

No paperwork and cash payment - no comeback as no proof of payment-  definitely looks like avoiding taxes.
