Yes but they needed to do this on Sunday not today, and they needed simply to read ANY current JULY witness statement thread that mentions the Recorder Cohen QC judgment, which the @jrhys example doesn’t. 

easier just to search the forum for Cohen witness statement and look for a July result?

I know, and they weren’t wrong and nor were you, but if this OP had simply done what I suggested on Sunday they could have copied a July example simply by reading page one. They still can now except I suspect the most recent WS are on page 2 or 3 now.

File to the court where your hearing is to be held - even though it might be a telephone or video hearing there will be an e-mail address on your notice of allocation - and serve on the claimant whose address will be on the original claim form.

No rush this minute now you are past this working day so we’d like to help by seeing your draft WS and the exhibits and costs.  We want to be sure you included everything.  Show us your draft and we’ll help tonight. Then email it to the local court first thing and of course to the solicitors for the Claimant at the same time (same email so they can’t pretend they didn’t get it).

Missing your deadline might mean your WS is struck out by a Judge but all you can do is try and hope you can still give WS witness evidence.  If not, you will be limited to zero evidence and just your defence.  I hope you get a nice Judge.
