I don't think that's quite what Redx said.

Look at all the other ways that he mentioned that you might win on.

I definitely did NOT say you wont win

I did say you wont win on your jackanory story about fly parking and what happened on the day and not being able to afford it , so nothing you posted indicates a win in court

you may well win on a legal technicality, so you missed the point emtirely, so I will say this

Beckham was guilty of speeding in a hired Bentley , doing say 45mph in a 30mph street (or whatever it was) - absolutely no question about it , guilty m`lud

so was he guilty of a speeding offence - most definitely

did he get convicted ? - NO he did not , because the NIP was received a day late and his expensive lawyer MR LOOPHOLE got him off on that simple but important legal technicality

he was later banned for being on the phone at a later date in a vehicle :)

I dislike the word "technicality"  there is nothing technical about papers being served out of time.

@beamerguy the ticket just says "Britannia Parking", will get images of signs this week, and I'm not sure about the contract with the landowner is there an easy way to check?

The Britannia group names are listed here together with company numbers
    https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/officers/RHPBpZJHOsN21zDn5VXHggkxTLo/appointments

The company numbers are important and must be the same on the ticket and signs
You can ask the council who owns the land.  The contract must show which one of this group signed the contract and the company number.   All 3 must match
  • Thank you all so much. Looking into all points mentioned and working on defence draft.
  • Hi guys so I had taken some pictures and the site was actually very dark just as I remember it - you have to walk up close to signs to read them. I have drafted my defence but literally just attached the images and explained the poor  visibility. Is there a more "legally threatening" way to include this in my defence?

Photos (evidence) come with your Witness Statement, much later in the process, not in your Defence.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

You merely refer to the fact you have photo evidence of the illegibility of the signage in the dark.
