Nect@r bonus points have helped no end this month.  I've enough part earned Huyu, Am@zon and Shopp1x points earned to make next month a doddle.  Can anyone please tell me where the last 335 days have gone?

I've £360 cash so far in my Christmas tin.
£150 on my amazon saving account
£112.80 in my Top Cashback account.

Also have enough points on my Shoppix account for either £30 in cash or vouchers leaving it there to see what I may need nearer the time lol

I've also received my £100 shop local voucher here in N.Ireland so that'll be going towards a treat for myself and some christmas gifts.  That has to be spent by November 30th so will use that soon.

I realised I stopped posting, but I managed to smash my target of £365 by about June time. I upped it slightly so the pot sat at £405 in total which is incredible considering I didn't actually notice the money going out of my account!

I have started with my shopping for this year so my account is sitting slightly less than the full amount ,but it's nice to know it was there ready for when I needed it.

I've also started a separate savings pot for next year too!

I reached my target of £660 so I've decided to call it a day with reporting my totals for this year. I've started to dip into it now, but I'm very glad that it's there.
Thanks to @kdalwayskint for running the thread and hopefully will see you all next year! Happy Christmas! 🌲🌲🌲

£211.00 from Quidco has been changed into Amazon vouchers.

I have started my wish list on Amazon and will pay at the end of the month, and wait for it all to arrive to wrap.

Hopefully should get some more cash back from TopCashback before the end of the month.

    #2 checking in.

I don't use this as a means for paying for Christmas, more as a way of saving for my geocaching adventures. So... have got  £828 in the pot.  That's paid for a week in Guernsey next year, alongside a residential trip to Lundy in the spring (and £255 still in the pot). Still got a flight (or maybe ferry) to pay to get to Guernsey and a return trip on the MS Oldenburg to Lundy.  SO good to be able to travel around the UK again!

Happy Christmas everyone (and I'm already working on the 2022 challenge....)!

Thanks @kda@kdalwayskint.  I have now enough in the pots to reach my target - woohoo. So #5 at £365.

So I am going to start my spending.  Lovely to be in this fab position with a few hundred quid to spend

    Good luck everyone.

  • Hi Guys

Thought I would add the link for the new thread again
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6310002/saving-for-christmas-2022-1-a-day-challenge/p1?new=1

We've been trying to declutter our upstairs, at the moment it feels like we are just moving stuff from one room to another, but we have filled a couple of bags of rubbish and a few to take to a charity shop. The plan is to have a guest room and for it to be ready to use over Christmas and a hobby room which is likely to be a reality in the new year.

I've had a go at doing a baked camembert with dough balls, it was a tasty experiment, I'll need to make smaller balls next time though 😊

Shopping for gifts is well underway.

No decorations up yet, maybe the first weekend in December 🎄
