    Hi Andy
The reason the child element isn't on is because your kids haven't been verified yet.  Did you defo include all 3 kids during your claim giving them 5 weeks to verify them?  Or did you omit the children and then added them on later within the report changes screen?  Did you declare false info like a child getting dla when they don't by accident?  Do you or partner receive child benefit?  Is a child over 16 in full time education and you have a 'to do to complete to upload evidence of it that you've not completed yet?  Has your partner checked their to do list for outstanding items?

All your case manager can do is email the child team regarding verifying your children assuming you and partners to do lists are clear and you've entered all child details correctly.  Either that or they verified the kids late after the AP ended and you have an outstanding underpayment to do on your case managers side that they haven't completed yet and should do once the email comes through from phone staff.

Actually your new claim advance of only £750 offered makes me suspect you made an error with your new claim declaration? With 3 kids, 1 with dla and carers element it would be alot more than that and you may need to report a change to correct your claim information submitted to UC.  This sounds like your fault to me and whatever the problem is with your claim information submitted to UC needs correcting.  Most errors on UC are caused by the claimant as they having online access to their claims do all the reporting of new claims and changes

Summary of what, based on information provided, your UC award should look like
     Earnings:-
Net Earnings £2,314.55, Less work allowance £512.00, Excess earnings £1,802.55
    Earnings tapered at 63% £1,135.61
    Unearned Income:- Carer's Allowance £291.42

    Standard Allowance                                  £594.04
    Child Responsibility Element                    £752.91
Additional Element for Child's Disability   £128.25
    Carer Element                                          £162.92
    Maximum Credit                                    £1,638.12
    Less tapered earnings                           £1,135.61
    Less unearned income                             £291.42
    Universal Credit Payable                          £211.09
Above calculation doesn't take into account repayment of the advance
Thank you for your help. Funnily enough I have finally got my payment today and it is exactly what you said it would be (£211.00 - £63.00 = £148.00). Not a huge amount, but it will certainly help before Christmas and moving forward.

Are you any clearer about how the earnings figure of £2,314.55 has been arrived at?
