This is true.... but so close to the winning Line ( CCJ and debt gone ) ..it appears the solicitor wants to move the goal posts.Thrugelmir said:

I have no idea if they are allowed to obtain another CCJ..0 -

Knowing human nature as well as I do. Not paying a debt if at possible is considered fair game by many people. Irrespective of their personal circumstances.dazzaofdagenham said:

Yup have done....it seems it would be frowned upon by any court if it went that far..or perhaps the solicitor is pushing for full settlement before the CCJ has it 6 year limit.Deleted_User said:

He has always paid on time..liggerz87 said:Also tell your friend to start keep in writing and to carry on paying on time
it’s just as the end of the CCJ arrives....a balance will still be owing..
at that point if the solicitors goes for another CCJ....this will involve extra fees and time ?0 -
You cannot have two judgements for the same debt, they would apply to further enforce the original.dazzaofdagenham said:liggerz87 said:Also tell your friend to start keep in writing and to carry on paying on time

Maybe not 2 x CCJ for the same debt....but the solicitor is implying. That when the CCJ has its 6 year limit...in Feb 2021...when a amount of 200 pounds or less is outstanding...they will go to court and take that enforcement action..sourcrates said:

whatever that enforcement action maybe....surely will entail extra fees..
why they would do this, is beyond any comprehension.
the last 36 monthly have all been made on time with no issues.0 -
They don't.dazzaofdagenham said:...they will go to court and take that enforcement action..
I don't know how else to say it.
No extra CCJs, no going back to court, no additional fees, no debtor's jail, flogging or public execution.
Just the remaining balance to pay.2
