Yes, once you've got a credit meter it makes it easy to swap providers - even if they fit a smart meter it doesn't stop you from changing suppliers. What sort of deal are bulb offering, is it better than what you've got at the moment.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0

Bulb are expensive so you'd need to take that into account if they can lock you in.However I would never accept smart meters unless the government made them compulsory, but YMMV.0
