Moving pac code on same network
Hi all - I've been with 3 Mobile for over a decade and have been paying through the nose due to my own lazyness changing my sim only deal. I saw advertised a deal which I asked to upgrade to but was told it was new customers only. They said if I took that out as a new customer I'd have a new number and my existing number couldn't be transferred as that can only be done to new suppliers. Is that true? Can pac codes only be transferred to other networks and is there a way around this? I just hate that after years of loyal custom they still don't let me have a deal that a new customer does.
Thanks so much

Grab a PAYG sim for another network and PAC & MOVE to it, then back to 3 PAC & MOVE3

My wife had almost the same situation as this....had a deal with 3 and found a better deal with 3 after her initial contract was up...speaking to the staff, she couldn’t have the new tariff as it was for “new customers only”....asked for her PAC and five mins later someone else rung from 3 retentions....and after a brief chat...the new deal was done...0

I've done this through 'live chat' on the Three app on my phone - told them I'd found a better offer and they put me onto the deal and then asked if there was anyone else in my family who wished to upgrade, so I did Mrs B's too!0

In answer to the original question...no cannot use a PAC on the same network however with 3 you can ask that your original sim is transferred to PAYG and when it has you can then transfer the number to your new contract.
Its worth it because if you buy through the right site such as Topcashback you can get 12gb for £8/ month and also £32.50p cashback.
I do wish people would stop using the word code on the end of PAC...it means porting authorisation code so what you are then saying is porting authorisation code code !0 -

A week or so later they called and offered me the deal i wanted.Told them it's too late now, but yes i would have stayed if that deal was offered last week.I know they just saw im an really old customer, had the account for phones were smart and they may have assumed i would not leave. They only just scraped in on the last sim only deal otherwise that would have been another number moved away from them.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
