Had refund for cancelled holiday September......November Shearings have now taken the money back

A cruise I booked for May with Shearings Holidays was cancelled by them due to the coronavirus.
After lots of form filling etc. finally got my refund via my credit card in September....at last.
Imagine my horror when I looked at my credit card statement the other day to see a charge on there for the full price of my holiday. I thought this must me an error, but no, after speaking to Barclaycard, I was told they (Shearings Insurance people) were at liberty to take the money back and I have to prove that I didn't cancel the trip myself.
Shearing sent me documentation, which luckily I still have telling me they cancelled the cruise, so why do I have to go through this again? Barclaycard and Shearings or their representaives have already had what documents I have which proves Shearings/reps cancelled not me.  Barclaycard are sending me a letter explaining all this they say and what I have to do, to try to obtain my money back again.
I think it is outrageous that they settle my claim and then decide they will snatch the money back off of me. I am fortunately in a finacial position where I can hang on for my refund, but others may not be so lucky and having spent the money would be worried what they can do.  Do Shearings think this bodes well for any future holidays we may be considering  with them, I very much doubt it.

The name presumably and the assets it wanted. Not the old business in it's entirety.

Brand and website apparently, but it looks like they bought the order book too.

I'm assuming a section 75 claim by you , which can always be successfully challenged by the company and reversed.

But why and how, does this mean I could get the money returned then further along they do the same thing again? I have documented proof that Shearings/cruise company cancelled the trip.

It sounds as if it was a chargeback, rather than a refund and that an error has been made by Shearings in disputing it, due to the backlogs.

If what you say is accurate, you simply need to provide the evidence to get it resolved.
