I've not come across this option on other threads I've read, would I fill out the physical form, scan and send as attachment? Any reason you offered this suggestion? Thanks

It's mentioned on hundreds of other thread on here , mentioned in the Newbies FAQ sticky thread plus links , standard advice on here for over 3 years , it's common practice , KeithP has mentioned it numerous times , as have many regulars here , including coupon mad in her defence link posted 12 months ago !!!

Post is the old fashioned pre pandemic method. !!

You should be able to edit it on a pc , add a digital signature and email it twice , or using bcc , no need for printing , signing and scanning

You've not come across that option? How strange.
Earlier you were following a list of instructions that guided you towards filing a Defence.
You appear to have stopped following that list at item 6 - After filing your Defence, there is more to do.

To save you having to search for that list again, here are the next points:

I followed the newbies thread, and the attached screenies is the instructions I was originally following as mentioned in prior comment I posted and to the thread comment it links to, is there more than one newbies thread or something?

No, there is a single newbies thread
But as above, you were given a list, and as ever you are expected to read what is posted.

There is also a link to the defence template thread by coupon mad , initially posted a year ago , where the steps are listed regarding electronic submissions by email and were reproduced above

If you used that template defence , then you read that thread !!!

The pandemic forced many aspects of life online including blue badge applications , benefit claims , changing your address on a V5C , plus submissions to the CCBC and civil courts , judges and claimants , especially with the government ordering working from home and covid outbreaks at the DVLA and at the CCBC too

So any old fashioned pre pandemic measures may still be legally required , but electronic methods are much preferred and much encouraged , so you should be applying some post covid19 common sense too

You need to get with the program and get up to date in your dealings with current court claims , or get left behind in Amish territory using paper , quills and the pony express !!

Hey guys hope everyone is keeping well, been a very busy couple months for myself with work, but very pleased to let you all know that I got a letter in the middle of April to say that the case was dropped as Civil Enforcement LTD didn't pay the hearing fee.

Thank you guys for all your help through this process, it wouldn't have been possible with you all and saved me over £250 IIRC. Greatly appreciative that this forum exists and so many people are ready to help in such a timely manner!

For anyone currently going through the same ordeal, follow the advise in the forum best you can, and in other areas where you can't find an answer or guidance just use your best initiative. Unfortunately you can't find all the answers you need here for the nitty gritty as things are always changing with covid etc. but the core remains the same. Good luck with your cases!
