Why do you think that they knowingly did this?

Why are you buying a Little Mix CD?

    First world problems
I don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!
  • You can’t really claim they knowingly sent you a damaged item. It could easily be picked and the damage not noticed. Amazon is a huge operation and therefore pick hundreds of thousands of items per day.

Here’s my situation I’ve bought a CD, that’s clearly damaged as it has cracks under the wrapper as seen in the attached picture. I contacted Amazon about the damage saying you could see it was damaged the moment it was picked yet you (Amazon) still sent it out. They “claim” they don’t have anymore of this CD in stock even though a quick search on Amazon proves other wise. I explained the damage and they said I could have a £2.50 gift card that I could use towards a replacement the CD cost £9.99.
So what are my rights Amazon have knowingly sent me damaged goods yet are expecting me to return the current CD (which I don’t have a problem with) and rebuy the CD using a voucher as part payment
OP It appears this CD is massively important to you and you really want an unblemished copy to add to your little mix collection?

Little mix fan base is young teenage girls, so I understand why you are upset and feel the need to post. And why you want it perfect.

So possible solutions are: Return it, as you quoted you have no problems doing this.
Get the £2:50 gift card, that Amazon has generously offered you, and repurchase at a cost of £7:49.

They appear to be back in stock? Total saving £2:50

Or buy a new case and transfer paper insert and your cd to that.
    Some costs below. Total  saving gift card £2:50 - £1:99 = 51p

Just return it for a replacement. I don't get why there is a problem?

The OP seems to start threads and then never reply.

That's what would concern me more, rather than a cracked jewel case, which cost pennies!

To be honest I think most of the replies are immature here. I’m sure most of you would return a damaged case for a CD/DVD/Blu Ray.

Not quite sure what OP wants Amazon to do - sent it back get a new one. Things get smashed in deliveries not the end of the world.

Really? The pain of having to queue up at the post office or waiting for a courier etc for minor cosmetic damage to the external packing? If it was to be a present for someone it’d be slightly different but if its just for me then no way would it be going back.

If it was a CD it’d get ripped and put in the attic, if it were a DVD/Bluray then the disc would be put in the film file and the case put in recycling bin.

Buy a replacement case for pennies and put the £2.50 to something
