No response to offer - frustrated!!

We put an offer on a property over a week ago and have had no response, no yes, no, stick it, nothing! It was a good offer, £5k under the asking price and we probably would have gone up to the full amount if we had to but the house is in need of major modernisation and it’s been on the market for nearly a year now. Really…

We had a similar situation whereby we put an offer on a house and heard nothing back...I rang EA and they said they were still deciding. A week alter I rang again and upped our offer by 5k. I still then had to ring the EA twice to see if they'd accepted or declined my offer! Never really a firm answer. Anyway over a month (!!) later I rang again as the house was still being advertised on Right Move. Two days later they accepted our offer! It basically took so long as the seller really didn't want to move as loved the house but had to in the end so I think it was necessary, but relucutantly. Good luck!
