Returning Two Monitors to Amazon, Can't Find Courier Who will Insure Them

It would be nice if you were to update us on how?deannatrois said:Of course I tried the return service. They don't allow collections just to return parcels via drop offs at a local post office or .courier shop. There is no way I can carry an 18kg parcel even across a road because of disabilities. Its a large heavy parcel.
Normally on the odd occasion I have needed to return a heavier item (only a couple of times), Amazon have arranged a collection but I have had to phone to explain why this is needed.
Any way, its sorted now.0 -

The reluctance to post a link to the monitors is curious - what's the betting a bit of 'skim reading' was involved?

The OP already said, Amazon agreed to have them sent uninsured and wont hold the OP liable if they are damaged in transit etcneilmcl said:

Did you read what I said lol? I said I have disabilities and can't carry 18kg. More importantly, I don't drive nor do I have a car. I also don't have anyone to help. I sorted it, sort of, by booking a courier to collect the parcel.alex132 said:drive your car to their warehouse and return personally
Except they didn't. Twice.
Finally I booked another courier, they did pick up (I actually got quite excited when the courier called, sure he thought I was quite mad). Sent the postage receipt and tracking information to the email I'd been given by amazon. No refund. Next day tracking said the goods had been returned to amazon. After a few more days I sent the email again, begging for help. When I tried the 'call me button' on their website, it said it was connecting, then connected but nothing happened my end either on my LL or mobile. I restarted my pc, re-entered my phone numbers. Same. Tried several times a day for a week. Nothing.
Then finally I used the jeff@amazon.com email address. Two days later I was told there had been a glitch (several I would have thought lol) and the refund of the purchase and postage had been made to my account.
Never buying two monitors at once again lol. But it was sorted, really sorted late last week.
I am thinking of changing my name to Sod's Laws by deed poll.

It's pretty clear from the fact you refuse to give any details about which monitors you bought that this information is easily found online before buying.0 -
I just don't think its relevant. Far more important issues in the experience like the fact that Amazon can't organise a collection themselves etc. Amazon certainly didn't disagree with me. If they had, they would have said it was 'change of mind' and made me pay the postage, don't you think?
Lol I don't respond well to bullying either. Its up to me what I put in a post, and what I consider relevant. Make what determinations you like about that. Its a free world. Quite revealing how you think about people on no information.., maybe you could look at that0
