If I've really not got it, it's unlikely that it's CRA related, I've got an Experian score of 999
Your "credit score" doesn't matter as it is not seen by Amex or other lenders.
Your credit history is what matters. Plus, of course, your current financial situation, job, salary, etc.
It is possible to have the highest score (the number made up by CRAs) while having something on your credit reports that discourages some lenders.

I identified a number of small businesses showing on the Amex map. I called some of them to check and found that they do not take AMEX or don't know about the scheme. Don't trust the map - call the small business and check.

Talking from personal experience some shop staff are not always aware that they take Amex. For example during the summer the guy in the corner shop near me where I used my Amex to get a shop small discount said I didn’t know we could even accept American Express. This is, I think, because often they are not aware that their merchant aquirer accepts Amex by default. Therefore, I think it is always worth trying to use your Amex instead of asking first and then if it is rejected use a different card instead.Ronknee said:I identified a number of small businesses showing on the Amex map. It doesn't matter if they know about shop small or not though, that's irrelevant.Ronknee said:I identified a number of small businesses showing on the Amex map. If you need something from a local small business, use them, not sure I'd spend money just in the hope I'd get £5 back.1 -
That's the one - I knew Mozzers was on some sort of deal!sausage_time said:
There was a separate Morrisons deal in December last year if I recall, not part of Shop Small.jet01 said:
No definitely not valid at Morrisons. The point of the promotion is supposed to be to support small businesses. Big chains are not part of the promotion.J_B said:Does anyone know if it's valid at Morrisons supermarket?I'm sure it was last year but can't find it this year.Anyway - just back from a weekend in Wales and .... fish, chips & mushy peas twice for over a tenner gave us a fiver back then a tenner in the nik-nak shop also gave us a fiver back - result!!!0
