What is the expected time before receiving building survey report?

Should be 5 working days for a Building Survey. Give your surveyor a call and ask for an update.0

Got the report this morning and I'm not particularly impressed tbh. Waited 2 weeks for the report.
On the surveyors website he details what the report contains and has sample reports. On receiving the report today, there is no costings for the work required and simply states 'significant cost repair work required or words to that affect. On challenging the surveyor he claims he doesn't offer that anymore and alot of surveyors don't. But its advertised on his website as part of his reports.
Would anybody else feel a bit cheated here? I'm considering what options I have really. I would have went elsewhere if I knew he'd basically just point out what I could already see...0 -
Had two surveys this year and neither had any costings in, that kind of thing is very estimated until you start getting proper quotes so in all honesty if our survey had included them we wouldn't have found it very useful.Nile_E_Coyote said:Got the report this morning and I'm not particularly impressed tbh. Personally if he hasn't raised anything you couldn't see... that's a good thing no? Prior to having the survey your worry is there is something you couldn't see - there isn't, be happy!0 -
There is quite a bit on the survey, that's why we chose one who said they included estimated costs into their report. We would have went elsewhere tbh. The only helpful part was the surveyor saying it would take 'significant financial cost'. Whats the definition of significant?JessJ23425 said:

If he doesn't offer the costings then fair enough, but it shouldn't say on his website when booking that it does include it. His sample report you can download even includes it.0
