Ask your DD to google Elle Beau.  She wrote a blog about working for a MLM.  It's well worth reading for anyone considering joining such a scheme.

    Thanks everyone.
I've sent her the link to this thread & she has decided against pursuing a career in MLM.

Have to say kudos to your daughter for not being daft enough to go for it without sense-checking it first. :)

To be fair she is a bit daft! But only in a good way B)

(she was chuffed when she read this thread & saw your kudos to her)

To be fair, I think that kudos belongs to the OP rather than their daughter  :)

I guess you never stop looking out for your ankle biters!

(she will be annoyed when she reads this that kudos to me has matched the kudos she got  :D  )

Was it really "everybody" that was Kung Fu fighting ???
  • Tell her not to do it, it's a scam.  It also a sure-fire way for her to lose her friends on Faecbook if she mythers them into buying the products.  I had a colleague who was selling products through some make-up company, she was trying to plug make-up to me - someone who does not wear it!!  I have muted her.

I know someone who is in this scheme, she actually does make money, I was surprised as the stuff is expensive, but young people seem to want to buy it. I used to sell Cabouchon back in the day which was the same sort of MLM thing, I didn't recruit people but the jewellery was nice and sold well.
