    Ditto - I've had some exposure to the public sector workplace and the amount of sick days taken by staff is astounding. As is the amount of slacking around. Further, many are on pretty comparable wages to the private sector - it all depends on how well you've played the game. Plus pensions are just about the best around and job security is as good as you can get.
