Thanks so much for the replies.
I already sent a formal complaint to the director of the company a couple of weeks ago. I guess is a matter of waiting 8 weeks if my complain is not resolved.
I found this text in their website:
"...is authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority "
So What this means? My next step would be dealing with the Legal Ombudsman I guess? or Council of Licensed Conveyancers?0 -
Solicitors IMO are like used car salesmen! I went through the proper channels to complain about overcharging and as soon as the solicitor got the forms to reply to the SRA he took me to court for not paying the disputed amount. Then the SRA decided they could not deal with my complaint as it was now under the court!
Eventually I went to court showed my evidence and got the sum thrown out plus I got some costs from the solicitor who then did not pay these until I sent him a LBC.0 -
if your complaint is to do with the level of service then the ombudsman will be the people to complain to, if it is to do with the solicitors comitting fraud then the SRA is the body to approach.JJRome said:Thanks so much for the replies.

the ombudsman sides with the solicitors and they will only give you £50 worth of compensation for poor level of service, so don't get your hopes up.0 -
Little you can do until you have a formal response. Only then can you weigh up your options.JJRome said:0 -
From the looks of the op is probably moaning they didnt answer his emails immediately or the searches took a few weeks to come back.
If you would like to elaborate on exactly what your complaint is, you might get some sensible advise, or you can continue to waffle and waste yours and the solicitors time....0
