  • Well what !!!!!! has he got to do with the Isle of Man?
It might be something to do with St Michael's Isle  (which Wiki tells me is part of the Isle of Man) or maybe he visited during one of his dragon killing escapades and he's remembered on a coin because of that!

I think it’s to wind up the apparently very insecure Manx.

Nah.  There certainly aren't any dragons on St Michael's isle.  Barely big enough for a mouse.  http://www.island-images.co.uk/2016/1607/160717111343.html

If he'd been killing a dog in Peel castle (St Patrick's isle) that would be different.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdVkkh4XrGc

You'd be insecure too if you lived in the middle of a battlezone between Irish and Scottish giants and had the vikings keeping on sticking their noses in.

Why do you think I moved to the UK?

Of course there aren't any dragons there now.
If there were it would mean that St Michael hadn't done his job properly in which case they wouldn't have stuck him on a coin.
