Bullion by Post issue

So I ordered some Silver from Bullion by Post. It never arrived. We contacted support, who in turn got in touch with Royal Mail. They have told us that the delivery was signed for. When we inspected the signature it relates to nobody we know. Bullion by post have since been investigating with RM for about 12 days now. When we chased them up yesterday they sent us a letter offering a refund and this attached to sign:-
I confirm that:-
● I have not received the following products:-
Product: 2020 Britannia One Ounce Silver Coin,
Quantity: 10
● To my knowledge nobody known to me has received the above claimed for goods.
● I consent to details of this claim can be passed to third parties (including law enforcement) to aid the investigation.
● Should I become aware of any new information relevant to this claim I will contact Jewellery Quarter Bullion immediately.
● Should the items come into my possession I will immediately inform Jewellery Quarter Bullion Limited of their arrival and release the coins into their possession as they remain the full property of Jewellery Quarter Bullion Limited.
● I have provided all information that may be of relevance to this investigation and I understand that any false representation with the intent to make gain is in breach of Section 2 of the Fraud Act 2006.
Signed:..........................................
I have never had to sign something like this before and it doesn't come on there official letterhead. I'm happy to comply, just don't want to get the rug pulled from under my feet signing something that wasn't necessary.

Why would signing something which wasn't necessary matter? I don't see the problem, if there's nothing there you actually disagree with.1

Just to give a heads up, Bullion by Post and most of the other online only dealers are quite expensive. I'd check out regular bullion dealers such as Atkinsons or Hatton Garden Metals - much better value.
Hope your coins turn up0 -
Nobody is taking signatures at the moment for deliveries. This has been standard practise since March & Covid restrictions.
Perhaps RM need to provide tracking to the address they were delivered to. Think they use GPS to pin point the location.
Just sign the form. I would guess it's standard practise to cover themselves against fraudsters.Life in the slow lane0 -

https://www.hattongardenmetals.com/buy/cid3/silver-bars and if you look in the left hand menu you'll see a link to silver coins, they don't have any in stock at the moment but you can still check the prices.

Eh? What's the connection between the Isle of Man and the patron saint of (heaven forbid!) England? They might as well issue an "Isle of Man Tintin and Snowy silver coin". Don't tell me - they already have...

It's not St George on the coin, it's Archangel St. Michael. (It just so happens that he didn't appear to like dragons either).0 -
Well what !!!!!! has he got to do with the Isle of Man? I don't recall him from my Manx history lessons at primary school.(Now if it was a genuine historic character - like Finn McCooil - I could understand it. See 4. Popular Folklore https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fionn_mac_Cumhaill)
