Can I revert to original SIM card number that came with the card?

HI, I purchased a BT SIM as an add-on to my broadband, etc... I originally didn't want the number that came with the SIM card that BT sent to me, instead I ported an existing number across from elsewhere. As per the title, can I change over to the number that came with my SIM or is that "lost in cyber space"?
Cheers all.
Cheers all.

I would say no as it would have gone back into the pool for re-use later. You can certainly get a new number but it will be random and the number you have now will be lost. Why do you want to change ?

Thanks molerat and sdduk for the replies. I kinda thought that but just wanted to ask anyway. Issue has now been sorted, thanks.
