Paying reduced rate by cheque instead of full rate as asked

Hello,
After a long search on this forum I did not manage to find an answer to my question so I thought it would be beneficial to create a new thread. Apologies in advance if it is redundant.

I got a PCN from UK Car Park Management back in October. After my appeals (both to the company and IAS) have been rejected I am being asked to pay the full amount of £100 instead of the reduced rate of £60. As I can be bothered with that scam anymore, I am considering paying only the discounted rate and send them a cheque of £60 instead of £100 which is clearly abusive. Therefore I was wondering if anyone had done this previously? and if there would be a risk that they would reject my cheque and ask for the full amount instead? Or do you think they will settle it as it is after at least extorting me some money.

Many thanks for your help, it is really appreciated.

Hi, and welcome to the forum ........

no chance ... they have you on a hook , and no wriggling will reduce the amount.

Oh and if you can't be bothered with the scam ... why should we?

    good luck

Having your appeals rejected by UKCPM and the IAS is all part of the scam anyway ?

You can try to offer them £60 and that will depend on how desperate they are for money whether they accept.   WHY pay anything, just play the game.  For UKCPM their business model has developed into a farce

Next step will be to pass the buck to a debt clown to be ignored and then to their favourite legal Gladstones, who set up the scam IAS, and of late fail to attend court thereby letting UKCPM down.   This is how the farce plays out nowadays and it's worth watching at the moment as Pantomimes are not open

Sorry Ralph, I did not mean it like this, more like I don't really know what else to do. Thank you very much for the advice!

"you decide to fight ... you will get all the advice you need here..... The win rate success that people who follow forum advice is extremely high , maybe as much as 99% . There is a tiny chance that you get a badly clued up judge.

As people above have lauded to the cheque for £60 ruse has been tried before ... most times they just flatly refuse. Some times they cash the cheque then pursue for the balance with added on amounts as they the see the person as a 'easy touch'

" After my appeals (both to the company and IAS) have been rejected"

this is part of the course , and should be expected.

Where did this all happen? supermarket? gym /? retail park?

Our plan A is complain to the landowner / agent .....

Why do people always want a 'next step' after they inevitably lose an 'appeal' sham to an IPC firm?

The NEWBIES thread tells you what happens next. Court claim, which is when you win.  Bring it on.

Only an idiot would pay UKCPM, a disgusting ex-clamper firm whose claims are riddled with holes in their 'evidence'.  The sooner the new PAS232 Government code and Single Appeals Service exposes charlatan PPCs and rids the country of the most rogue firms in the long run, the better.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Have you complained to your MP?
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

It happened in a residential area. I will try to contact the landowner, I just need to figure out who they are (I have ask UKCPM to disclose this information, but obviously they did not). Many thanks.
