Let’s leave this poor Poster alone.  She has explained her thoughts and reasons for still going. No need to make things hard for her.
    +1 to this ^^^^.
The OP has made what must have been a difficult choice.
She needs a holiday - it sounds like she needs and deserves one much more than I do (even though I've had one cancelled and cancelled one myself).
It's probably unlikely that she'll catch covid on holiday, but she understands the risks and implications if she does.
She understands the risks and implications if her return flight is cancelled.

OP - are those cases packed yet? :)

Thank you Pollycat and Westin. Definitely not an easy decision to make, but looked at all the possible problems and each one I can mitigate (& no different from travelling alone with 3 boys normally!).

There is a considerable pile now on top of the cases.... the rest will be added tomorrow and I’ll pack next weekend! Need to get excited now 🤣

Really appreciate everyone taking the time to reply and help me x

What would happen to the children of you caught covid and had to go into isolation while there?
They would also have to isolate as they would have been in close contact with ‘mum’.
Exactly this. And to be honest, Egypt has a lot less cases than here in England looking at the stats.

If there's minimal testing then the situation could change at any time. More tests will find more cases. Quality of reported data likewise differs between countries. The one thing the UK is good at is stats and data collection.
