iphone4 cracked screen worth repairing?

Ben given an iphone4 with a cracked screen as had lost my motorola but turned up!  Question is it worth repairing the screen to use or not? 
Also what would you recommend in the way of mobile insurance?

No, not at all.  Just bin it.

From memory it's a total strip down to replace it...not worth it.
