Condensation between window panes

Hi All,
We have 3 windows in the house that suffer from condensation not only on the inside of the windows but also in between the window panes. I noticed some of the seal are slightly coming off too, I wonder if the window is still repairable or does it need a total replacement?

Yes, replacing the sealed units will get rid of the misting between the panes and probably help with the inside too. New seals can be fitted at the same time. None of this is expensive, look for local double glazing repair companies..

The unit has blown so the only thing you can do now is replace it. You should have local glass firms that can replace just the units.
  • You might even find a 'MrMisty' type operation in your locality who specialise in replacing just the sealed glazing units. They should be familiar with just about every type of fitting so should be able to handle this quickly and easily.

But no harm in asking local window installers too - they might be happy to do a quick repair like this between larger jobs.

Try asking on Facebook Marketplace for recommendations?
  • Hi,
if you measure up and get replacement units made locally, you can DIY.

sorry for being daft - is it the whole glass unit that needs replacement or just the black seal around it?

What browntoa says, both sheets of glass and the spacers between all come as a sealed unit. Easy to remove and replace.

As stated , the whole glass unit. These can easily be done by a local glass/window repair fitter if you have one nearby. They just need to match the size and style of window.
