Reopening of hairdressers

Can anyone tell me for definite, when hairdressers can reopen. We are being told lickdown ends on the 2nd December, but when can hairdtessers reopen? Is it Thursday 3rd, or Wed, 2nd? Thank you

Should be 2nd December but annoucement will be made this week to know for sure. It will probably depend on which tier your area is in but no one knows yet.

Yes, I have found this confusing too. We are a dance school that have had to close. It doesn't seem to depend on the new tiers just on what day the current lockdown actually ends and things can reopen.
Wednesday 2nd is still the 28th day but several articles say lockdown will end then or do they mean it will be the last day?

The current lockdown ends at midnight on 2nd December. New rules will come into force at 12.01am on the same day.

I won't be going. My last haircut was January, I was due to go just after lock down started. So now if I grow my hair just a couple more inches it will be long enough to donate to a wig making charity.

Do you mean both rules will be in place on 2nd December?
Under the new tier rules we can be open. So which rules take precedence.

It means that on 2nd December if the tier your area is placed into allows it then you can reopen.

Surely 12.01am is not the same day?  You are now into the following day?

I'm really not sure what exactly you're not understanding, it's straight forward enough IMO. 12.01am is 1 minute after the current lockdown ends and the new rules come into force. The point is, everything can reopen on 2nd December, depending on what tier you're in.
