NS&I withdrawal "could take several weeks to complete"

    I make my withdrawals online, just answering a couple of memorable questions but they've all been for relatively small amounts (<2K). When I requested a bigger withdrawal today (>15K) a callback on my mobile was needed for security purposes to proceed. Like a previous reply, the hash key was repeatedly not recognised. I eventually had to swap my SIM to an old phone with an earlier version of android installed which then worked, thankfully! First time I've ever had a callback.

    Requested closure of income bond account online on Saturday 21 November. Funds (c£18.400) arrived in current account about 3pm this afternoon.

    Did it confirm that you'd receive all the funds by tomorrow? I only ask as I'm sure I read somewhere that if you closed the account/tried to withdraw the final £500 after the 20th then it won't be received after the 5th of December after the usual 'interest is being calculated' period.
    Yes - it said I would receive it tomorrow.
