NS&I withdrawal "could take several weeks to complete"

I make my withdrawals online, just answering a couple of memorable questions but they've all been for relatively small amounts (<2K). When I requested a bigger withdrawal today (>15K) a callback on my mobile was needed for security purposes to proceed. Like a previous reply, the hash key was repeatedly not recognised. I eventually had to swap my SIM to an old phone with an earlier version of android installed which then worked, thankfully! First time I've ever had a callback.

Requested closure of income bond account online on Saturday 21 November. Funds (c£18.400) arrived in current account about 3pm this afternoon.

Did it confirm that you'd receive all the funds by tomorrow? I only ask as I'm sure I read somewhere that if you closed the account/tried to withdraw the final £500 after the 20th then it won't be received after the 5th of December after the usual 'interest is being calculated' period.

Yes - it said I would receive it tomorrow.

is it just the isa and income bonds they are cutting rates on, or premium bonds as well?

uhm, not sure whether to withdraw premiun bonds or not. not many good places to put it anyway. out of frying pan into the fire?

I requested money on Friday and have not received it thus far. But I always assume three working days.
