I did a LOT of research before I finally committed to a new TV after over 10 years! Personally I found the best value deals were around March when the new models were being announced or were just on sale & the previous year's model stocks were rapidly running out - some of the prices on "old " models were mad.
I got a Samsung QLED 55"for £929 which was launched the previous year at ~ £2300 !!

Yeah I cannot really wait until march. But it is crazy how much the prices drop and new models are endlessly produced. Its hard to keep up with tech these days

Which magazine have done a survey covering a number of major retailers and found that the majority of prices for typical Black Friday deals were actually cheaper in the weeks after Black Friday. It's too detailed to provide specific information but the basic message is to wait. 

I found that last year an item I had been keeping an eye on (a Sonos Sub) wasn't discounted much over Black Friday (I think about £100) but about 2 weeks later Amazon, Richer Sounds and Currys all slashed the price from £699 to £456. After a couple of days it went back up again.

Decide on what you want to buy, who stocks it and check a few times every day. If you see a good discount then check other suppliers to see if they have responded with a better price.

Check on the Hotukdeals website for any good deals that suddenly appear.

Don't get fixation on spending £600. 
Once you eliminate some features on the grounds even £600 won't get them good enough, the differences between sets diminish, you might not even notice.
