BT Complete WiFi Renewal

I have just come to the end of Complete WiFi contract with BT and was looking at renewal quotes.  With BT, if i change to a standard Fibre 1 or Fibre 2 package (i.e. without Complete WiFi) would my Complete Wifi discs still work?  In other words, is there any point me staying on a Complete WiFi contract?  I've checked and I don't have to return the discs.
Alternatively, can the WiFi discs be used with other Broadband providers?
Thanks in advance!

I cant thing of any reason that they shouldn't - in the end they are just a mesh network linked to the Lan side of your router

  • I am on a contract with BT for BT Halo 1 that expires on 24 March 2021.  Yesterday, 26 November 2020, I received a Black Friday mailshot saying "Your contract is up for renewal" and trying to get me to upgrade to BT Halo 2 (for a fee of course).  This is blatantly misleading - presumably guessing that many customers will not know their renewal date.  When I phoned them they said that they always alert customers when they are coming to the end of their contract!   Four months ahead!  Beware.
