No spare tyre
My new car doesn’t come with a spare tyre. It’s got got an aerosol - ????
it’s a Suzuki Vitara. My last one had the tyre on the back (out side the car).
Can you buy kits to mount spare tyres on the back of cars that don’t have them fitted?
Has anyone done this? Has anyone any advice?

It looks like the newer Vitara has the spare in the boot floor and is not designed to have it hanging on the rear door, too heavy for a lift hatch - has yours got a wheel shaped hole ?

You will need to buy a spare wheel kit which includes the jack and wheel brace.0

Ok, so I’m replacing a tyre that’s legal in a couple of weeks (booked it today), low but legal.[Deleted User] said:daveyjp said:You will need to buy a spare wheel kit which includes the jack and wheel brace.
Better to buy them separately. Second-hand wheel, and get a better (longer) wheel brace than you'd get in a kit.
I’ll get the spoke thing from my local second hand tyre place?
Then I need a jack & a thing to get the nuts off.0 -
How do I know what jack to buy? It’s the Suzuki vitara - the 4x4 model - that will be heavier I’m sure.0

I do have some advice- speak to a suzuki dealer. problem is you may find they don't to get involved as you are whats known as, 'changing the spec of the vecihle' . what that means is 'we don't want to know in case it goes wrong, and then who's to blame'.

Gosh that’s expensive, I’ve got the tyre, I was hoping to get a cheap secondhand inner bit. And the jack and brace thing. They are quite cheap on eBay.facade said:0
