Buy a Blu-ray player with a HDMI socket. This will be cheap and a much better solution for a DVD player. Does your TV have any video input sockets that you could hook the xbox up to?

OK, but WOULD the above/link work/solve my current problem/set up. As an aside, will a blu ray play my existing DVD discs0

No one can guarantee that it will work with your specific equipment - all you can do is squander £8 and try it outNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0

I've been through this , was cheaper and easier to buy a Blu-ray player.
Reviews for the hdmi converters were full of fake reviews , the real ones were mixed In the quality of the conversion.
Blu ray player copes with my old dvds with no problemEx forum ambassador

Quality converters can be rather expensive and you may find the resultant display after conversion unsatisfying on the new TV.
