Seems Ok to me this morning.
Transferred sum of money to Premium Bonds which shows as gone through OK and closed both Income bond account and Direct saver without any authorisation codes needed , Just have to it and see when money turns up in nominated current account.

I'm sure they won't be. Bank notes are just ways of transferring real money, you can do that digitally now.

When my friend closed hers a couple of months ago it wouldn't let her close it online. She phoned and they recommended she left it open until the interest was paid, or she'd lose it.
I'm not 100% sure that is true, but the account is weird & unlike any other.

Did the security verification call work for you?

Lots of people (Source: Twitter) seem to be having issues where the call does not recognise the hash key input required to get through verification. I am having the same problem - weirdly, the verification call to log in accepted my input but the verification calls to withdraw money do not.

Security verification? Is that via the phone? I did it all online. easy peasy.

Best rate now appears to be 0.57% with RCI. Hardly seems worth it given all other savings accounts interest rate is dropping daily, so no doubt this one will as well.

What is everyone else doing now? Really don't know what to do with the extra money left over after maxing the Premium Bonds account?
