Vodafone contract fraud
Options
I discovered a fraudulent account through Vodafone when applying for 0% interest and being turned down. On checking my credit report through Transunion, I noticed the culprits had used an old address of mine and opened an account with my name and old address alone, although they entered the wrong date of birth. Once Vodafone investigated it, they admitted it was a fraudulent account and Transunion removed it from my report after 2 months. Unfortunately in that time, I needed to remortgage, and my credit rating had been reduced to poor, despite traditionally being excellent. this meant I was unable to apply without risk of being rejected. My 0% credit card was also running to the end of its offer period, and I was unable to apply for another for another one for a balance transfer.
Vodafone tell me that no compensation can be made as no one can profit from fraud. Moreover, the dispute resolution centre will not get involved as it is a case of fraud. They never explained how credit was taken out, and seemed accepting that anyone can take out credit in anyone else's name and an address, details of which could be found in a phone book.

Get a police report and then give that to Vodafone make a written complaint to them and also complain to the credit reference agency as they should remove the report amd it should go to howbit was before amd be up front to the mortgage and explain to them also check cifas0
