Barclays Online Banking

I tried to make an online payment yesterday and again today; although I can sign into the online banking, when I click on 'PAY' to setup the payment, the system just takes me back to the front screen showing me the current account balance.  Also, when I click on 'see  more transactions' the system also takes me back to the front screen.  Just wondering if anyone else is having these problems.

3 times this week I have logged in fine online, once managed to look at my current account, but others  managed nowt.
I know I don't have amazing broadband but I couldn't even log out - the little circle just went round and round.
Indeed maybe it is Barclay's not me! Haven't had this problem before and had the a/c over 2 years

I log on to online banking several times a week - sometimes more than once a day - and have done for many years, it's always been rock solid, never have any problems at all. Unless they're down for overnight maintenance - which they are right now !!
The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....

Whereas, in my experience, whilst the site's generally fine it's not uncommon for some things to not work.

For example, of late, the online banking site keeps telling me that I have an unviewed notification - the clocks going back in October. I click on the "mark all as read" button and the red "new notification" dot disappears. However, when I select a different page the red dot re-appears - even though there is no new notification.

This week I've been getting an error code 20000 when I try to view an online statement.

In the past, when I've tried to pay an existing payee, the site has "lost" all my saved payees. The next day they're back.

So, in my experience, Barclays' online banking site isn't without its gremlins.
  • Just tried to login again today to set up the payment - now I can't even see my account!!  The broken circle keeps going round but my accounts are not displayed.  Rang Barclays yesterday, the agent said that I'm not the only one who has reported this problem, but she didn't know if anyone is doing anything to sort out the problem.  Really bad service - I think it's time to change my bank; problem is...  all banks are as bad as each other.  I have nothing good to say about any of them.

well, the only   good thing about Barclays   was that there were double blue rewards until very recently- so a nice little profit.
I haven't tried today but I was actually trying to move rewards from their account (or whatever) into my current a/c.
Can I be bothered to try again today?
    Fortunately not my main a/c!

If anyone's system etc was going to play up it would be mine - so i tried this and -  it's actually working fine, just logged in easily, checked all my millions and logged out again.
I hope you get it sorted @[Deleted User] because it's so irritating, isn't it 😡

My Barclays app on iOS is still working fine. @[Deleted User], your issue seems to be caused by the technology you use, or by restrictions Barclays has put on your account. To eliminate the first option, can you detail exactly what you are using to access your account - what hardware, what software (operating system and application versions)?
  • Colsten - Thank you for your reply.  It would appear that you are right - I tried accessing my Barclays account using my android tablet, and it worked fine.  So the problem is to do with my laptop, most likely with the recent W10 update.  I say that because I've tried 2 different brousers - MS Edge and Google Chrome; I get the same problem with both.

My laptop is a DEll with Windows 10 Home Version 10.0.19041

It sounds like there may be some incompatibility between the Barclays system and the current version of Windows.  Not sure what to do next but at least I have now setup my payment.  NO immediate problem for now; hopefully, it may be sorted out soon.

Great news that you're ok on the app.
