Beware of scam texts

Today I received this text, note the link is to a web site using an image cut and pasted from Three. Login.com has nothing to do with Three.

Beware! The scammers may also be impersonating other mobile companies.

    Report the number and forward it to Suspicious text messages should be forwarded to 7726. This free-of-charge short code enables your provider to investigate the origin of the text and take action, if found to be malicious.

    This only relates to scam texts not linked to a mobile provider, but I received one this morning, from "Gov.UK" telling me the great news that all U.K. residents are to be given £258.90 (very precise)by the Government and follow a link. I knew it wasn't genuine, it did flag up as suspicious and the number was forwarded for investigation.
    I'm sure there are many similar around preying on people's fears and/or greed.
