Vodaphone PAYG SIM Card
I am with Vodaphone on a monthly contract, thought I want to re-activate my old smart phone for an emergency phone.
The phone is locked to Vodaphone. I requested a PAYG SIM card via Vodaphone website and it arrived but it's asking me to sign up for a £10 min a month bundle, which seems has to be rolling?
Isn't there a just a simple PAYG SIM card, where you just pre-load a small amount and just use what you pay for, I will be using this phone very occasionally.

You can just top up and PAYG with lebara but the rates might not be the best, but if it's only for emergencies..

Recently I was swapping networks and wanted to test EE coverage with a low cost PAYG SIM. To my surprise the local EE shop saleswoman said they didn’t have any PAYG SIM cards and to pop into the Iceland store across the road for one! There they are free with any purchase, or 50p without. The EE saleswoman also said they don’t top up PAYG, that needs a visit to a newsagent!
Anyway, to cut to the relevant part, at a newsagent you can top up with cash for £5, which may apply to Vodafone PAYG too.0
