Our buyer really threw his toys out of the pram when we said no to his demand of getting rid of the dog kennel my bunnies lived in at our old house. I was very nice about it and said that if I get rid of it I won’t have anywhere for them to live for the final days before we move, and if he stuck it on eBay he would probably get a couple hundred quid for it too.

He then demanded that I go around there a day after completion to remove it as he didn’t want it.   As if we wouldn’t have enough to do. I told him to jog on! Then he tried to sue me and failed miserably.

Don’t be like my buyer......it’s *just* a shed.

As a teenager, smashing up an old shed (with permission) was the most fun I had without breaking any laws. Take the roof off, find an angry Emo and give them a hammer.
    LOL 'angry Emo'

About as reasonable as asking them to rip out their kitchen as you don't like it and want to replace it. They can hardly take the shed with them.
  • I'd be peeved. We're moving next week and it's so stressful sorting, packing, tipping, 14 years worth of stuff. The last thing I'd want is to remove a shed as well.

Then just ignore it until you have the free time to deal with it. It is not something worth getting stressed about.

We're in process of selling our house, complete with a very run down shed which would have been replaced if we stayed. We were totally upfront with all viewers about its condition. When our buyers came for 2nd viewing, we offered to remove it but they said it didn't matter. I was very careful to include it on the TA10 with a note that buyer was aware of its condition.  Saved us another week's skip hire :)
