Where to check for car reviews?
Just being pro active and doing some research on used cars, must be fuel efficient and reliable. Ideally a 1.4L engine and maximum £5,000, ideally 2010 onwards
Where is the best place to make my shortlist and see some reviews so I can compare them ?
I have a list of about 10 cars which I'm considering and want to know where to check for reviews?
Is " whatcar.com" any good ? Just found parkers.co.uk, seems good too
I'll most likely be buying from an official dealership and will have a family member with me who knows what to look for
Thanks

There's no shortage of reviews. Apart from those you mention:1

Personally I would be looking at the links Car-54 provided, check out both the websites reviews and any owner reviews to get a good balance of reviews.
Whatcar are ok but I do sometimes wonder if they have a bit of a soft spot for VAG cars and even the Ford focus! I drive a Focus so that's not to say it's a bad car (far from it) but I am a bit wary of 'mainstream' car journalists reviews..I will leave it at that! Happy car hunting!0 -
Thanks guys. I've got a good idea of what I want , either a ford fiesta, vw polo or Toyota yaris .
Happily we have a Toyota, vw, and ford official dealerships round here
Official dealerships do sell used cars right ?0 -
They do, but generally only 2-3 years old maximum. Not the area of the market you're looking at.venomx said:Thanks guys. I've got a good idea of what I want , either a ford fiesta, vw polo or Toyota yaris .

1.8 litre is too big and dont want a boy racer car ...Something like this would be perfect. Local too. And has loads of positive reviews

Or even ...

As long as the dealership has loads of positive feedback then that always good ?0 -
The OP's looking for something sensible, and concerned about insurance cost. A pre-barry'd import is not what he needs.jimbo6977 said:3
